TMCA CONDUCTED IT'S CUSTOMERY GRAND IFTAR FUNCTION ON FRIDAY 5TH OCT. 2007 AT KUWAIT TEACHER'S SOCIETY HALL IN DASMA. ABOUT 1200 COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND ALSO CROSS SECTION OF INDIAN COMMUNITY MEMBERS ATTENDED THIS FUNCTION IN THE USUAL MANNER. THE FIRST PART OF THE FUNCTION GOT STARTED AFTER ASR PRAYER AT 3.30PM WITH RECITATION OF A VERSE FROM HOLY QURAN BY BR SHAIK DAWOOD THE INVITEE GUEST MOULANA MOULAVI K.A.NIZAMUDEEN HAJRAT FROM CHENNAI DELIVERED RAMADAN SPEECH AND EXPLAINED IMPORTANCE OF FASTING IN THE LIFE OF MUSLIMS AND VARIOUS GIFTS BESTOWED BY ALLAH SUBHANAHUTHALA ON THE ENTIRE HUMANITY.AMBASSADOR OF INDIA HIS EXCELLECNY M.GANAPATHI ARRIVED EXACTLY AT 4.50PM AND ALSO DIGNITARIES FROM VARIOUS INDIAN ASSOCIATIONS AND FEW KUWAITI DIGNITARIES MR.ABDUL LATIF SAIF, LEGAL ADVISER TO INDIAN EMBASSY AND MR.MOHAMED HATEM, MANAGER IN EQUATE COMPANY ATTENDED THIS SPECIAL OCCASION . AMBASSADOR WAS HONORED WITH PRESENTATION OF BOUQUET BY THE PRESIDENT AND AMBASSADOR PRESENTED BOUQUET TO MOULANA K.A.NIZAMUDEEN.THE SPONSOR OF THIS YEAR'S EVENT 'T.V.S. AIR & SEA CARGO CO' WAS HONORED WITH PRESENTATION OF MEMENTO BY H.E. AMBASSADOR. IN THE ABSENCE OF BR.HYDER ALI, MANAGING DIRECTOR OF TVS CARGO THE MEMENTO WAS ACCEPTED BY IT'S KUWAITI PARTNER SHAIK MOHAMED SALAM ABDUL WAHAB AHAMED AL HINDI.ENGI.A.TAJUDEEN, LIFE MEMBER OF TMCA AND REPRESENTING T.M.C.A AS CC MEMBER TO FEDERATION OF INDIAN MUSLIM ASSOCIATION WAS ALSO HONORED WITH PRESENTATION OF MEMENTO BY AMBASSADOR WHO IS LEAVING KUWAIT ON BETTER PROSPECTS.AMBASSADOR DELIVERED A SHORT SPEECH IN TAMIL STRESSING THE CORDIAL RELATIONSHIP ENJOYED BY TWO BROTHERLY COUNTRIES INDIAN AND KUWAIT AND TOLD THAT EVERY INDIAN WORKING IN THIS COUNTRY SHOULD AS ACT AS THE AMBASSADOR OF INDIA KEEPING GOOD IMAGE OF OUR BELOVED NATION. THE FUNCTION CAME TO AN END AT 5.25PM TO BREAK THE FAST AT 5.30PM. IFTAR REFRESHMENTS WERE SUPPLIED BY AL YASHRA FOOD COMPANY WITH VARIOUS DRINKS AND SWEETS . AFTER THE MAGREB PRAYER SUMPUTUOUS FOOD WAS SERVED TO ALL THE ATTENDEES AND THIS YEAR FOOD WAS SUPPLIED BY WINNER'S RESTAURANT WHICH WAS SPONSORED BY TVS CARGO. ALL THE ATTENDEES APPRECIATED THE EXCELLENT ARRANGEMENTS MADE BY OUR ASSOCIATION AND IT'S NEAT EXECUTION OF THIS EVENT WITHOUT ANY HASSLE. AFTER THE ISA PRAYER MOULA MOULAVI NIZAMUDEEN DELIVERED ANOTHER LECTURE FOR AN HOUR INVOKING THE ALLAH'S MERCY AND NECESSITY OF HUMAN BEING TO OBEY HIS ORDER AND PREPARE OUTSELVES FOR THE LIFE HEREAFTER.T.M.C.A IS REALLY PROUD FOR HAVING CONDUCTED IFTARY FUNCTION 5TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR AT THE SAME VENUE IN SUCH GRAND MANNER AND ALL THIS IS POSSIBLE ONLY WITH THE WISH AND MERCY OF ALLAH. TMCA CONDUCTED 12TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY & TV TALK SHOW MANUDA VASANTHAM

Tamil Nadu Muslim Cultural Association celebrated 12th Year Anniversary and also conducted 'Manuda Vasantham' Question and Answer TV Talk Show on Thursday 17 May 2007 at Al Sha'b Park' Auditorium. The first part of program 12th Year Anniversary started with recitation of a verse from Holy Quran and National Anthems by Jabriya Indian School students . His Excellency M. Ganapathi , Indian Ambassador, Br.Jamal Al Shatti, Manager - Islam Presentation Committee and Dr. KVS. Habib Mohamed, renowned scholar from Chennai , Karim Irfan , President of FIMA, many other dignitaries and around 800 Tamil speaking audience from all walk of life attended this interesting program. Ambassador presented a memento to Dr. KVS on behalf of TMCA in appreciation of his service to community and fostering social and communal harmony through TV Talk Show 'Manuda Vasantham' and praised the organizers for conducting such events which shows the rich cultural heritage of Indian society. Br. Jamal Al Shatti felicitated the positive contribution done by Indian community towards the growth of modern Kuwait and remembered the old mosque built by Indians in Kuwait some centuries ago. Dr. KVS in his brief address in the first part of the program pointed out that Unity of Mankind and unity of God ( in Tamil the saying goes 'Ondre Kulam Oruvane Devan) is the basic principle of Tamil Culture and stressed the importance of social harmony which is taught in all major religions . Also pointed out Islam is not only a religion but a way of life that is to say it provides guidance to mankind in every stage of their life. Mohamed Iqbal, president of TMCA outlined the activities of TMCA in helping community members in all possible ways. Abdul Aleem, Gen.Secretary of TMCA delivered welcome address and vote of thanks was given by Hidayathulla, vice president of TMCA. The second part of program started at 7.pm after Magreb prayer break. Books authored by Tajudeen and Embal Tajjamul (1) Merchant of Allah (Allahwin Vanihan) Abdul Rahman Ibn Awf (2) That Light That Path ( Andha Oli Andha Vazhi) were released by Dr. KVS and first copy was received by president of TMCA. The important part of the program 'Manuda Vasantham' Question and Answer TV Talk Show got started by 7.15pm and Dr. KVS answered nearly 18 questions asked by brothers and sisters from other faiths on Islam and some social problems confronting in day today life. He gave answers and explanation with historical and scientific reasons to make the audience understand Islam in it's true spirit and dispel many misconceptions created by a section of media today and gave solutions in Islamic point of view to face man made problems in today's modern society. The Talk Show continued till 11.15pm and the audience listened to the Dr. KVS's explanations with great interest and attention and admired his reasoning and oratorical skill. At the end of the Talk Show Dr. Ambalavanan who was greatly impressed by the logical explanations of Dr. KVS came to the stage and expressed his satisfaction and happiness on doctors answers to questions asked and his eloquence and proficiency in Tamil language. The program concluded at 11.30pm and dinner was served to all attendees. Most attendees thanked TMCA for conducting such wonderful and useful program . This program 'Manuda Vasantham' conducted in Kuwait is a milestone event in the 12 year history of TMCA.

TMCA CONDUCTS MEDICAL CAMP IN ASSOCIATION WITH IDF

Tamil Nadu Muslim Cultural Association (TMCA) conducted a mega Health Awareness and Medical Counseling Camp on Friday 27 April 2007 under the patronage of Kuwait Medical Association and Indian Doctor's Forum, Kuwait at Indian Community School, Khaitan. The Medical Camp got started at 8.30 am with a brief inaugural function which was attended and inaugurated by H.E. Ambassador of India Ganapathi. Abdul Aleem, General Secretary of TMCA did the master of ceremony and the inaugural function got started with recitation of a verse from Holy Quran by Mrs.Madina Hidayathulla. The welcome and presidential address was given by M.A.J. Mohamed Iqbal, president of TMCA. Dr. Ramesh Pandita, president of IDF gave a brief speech explaining the services rendered by IDF towards the welfare of India Community. Ambassador Ganpathi, in his address praised the gathering for having assembled in large numbers at the early morning hours and appreciated the organizers for arranging such useful events which are highly helpful to the community. Hidayathulla, Vice President of TMCA delivered vote of thanks.About 30 doctors from IDF, 5 optometrist from Optometrist Association, 4 paramedics from Kuwait Heart Foundation with necessary equipments, Qattan Pharmacy, Al Hafiz Paramedics Co. and Gulf Advance Trading company participated and rendered their services in this Medical Camp. IDF doctors gave counseling to the patients untiringly from 8.45 am till 2pm. Around 800 patients attended this medical camp and all of them were highly appreciative of the doctors who attended them with compassion and gave valuable advices on their health problems. The organizers made all the necessary arrangements with 60 volunteers including 10 female nurses who worked hard to make this event a successful one. TMCA added a new dimension to it's agenda of social and community service by conducting this humanitarian event and looking forward to conduct such activity in future as well with cooperation and support of Indian Doctors Forum.

Grand Iftar Function on Friday 13 October 2006

T.M.C.A held it's customary Grand Iftar Function on Friday 13 October 2006 at Kuwait Teacher's Society Hall in Dasma. H.E.Ambassador of India M.Ganapathi was the Chief Guest of this important event and other dignitaries like Mr.Abdul Lateef Saif, Legal advisor to Indian Embassy, Mr.Kareem Ifran, President of FIMA, Mr.Dewat, Manager - Indian Airlines, Officials from Indian Embassy and representatives from various Indian Associations and community leaders also participated in large numbers. More than 1000 persons from Tamil Nadu Muslim brothers participated in this unique event. The Function got started at 4.30pm with recitation of verses from Holy Quran and Br.Abdul Aleem, General Secretary of TMCA delivered the welcome address and was the master of ceremony. Moulavi Mohamed Ali Reshadi delivered the Ramadan address, pointed out the importance of Ramadan and necessasity of unity among Muslim Umma. Also Mr.Abdul Lateef Saif and Mr.Kareem Irfan of FIMA addressed the gathering in English.After their addresses there was a break for Iftar. Immediately after the Magreb prayer, the second part of the programme started. Mr.Mohamed Iqbal, President of TMCA addressed the gathering both in English as well as in Tamil. Mr.Iqbal highlighted the greatness of Ramadan and explained the activities of TMCA during the last one year period, especially TMCA's Scholarship programme, giving every academic year about Rs.2,00,000/- to about 30 students studying in various colleges in Tamil Nadu and contribution to one Muslim Orphan Hostel in Madurai and highlighted the other humanitarian activities of TMCA. TMCA Executive Committee members honored the Ambassador by presenting him a bouquet. Then H.E. Ambassador delivered his speech in Tamil to the delight of the gathering and Ambassador appreciated the unbiased services and activities of TMCA in helping our compatriots irrespective of their religion or region. Mr.Mastan, Treasurer of TMCA read a poem (Kavidhai) in Tamil highlighting the activities of TMCA. Mr.Hidayathulla, Education Wing Secretary delivered vote of thanks. After this a sumptuous Iftar Dinner was served to about 1000 brothers who honored out invitation and attended this great event at this holy month. 50 volunteers took care of all arrangements and the event was a great success and it is a another milestone in the history of TMCA conducting such mega event in an orderly and disciplined manner. Everybody attended this function appreciated the activities and good efforts of TMCA which helps in boosting the image of our community among the Indian citizen residing in Kuwait as well among Kuwaiti Nationals.
